A cubic yard is a three-dimensional unit of measure that determines the volume of a cube whose edge is a specific amount. L x W x D divided by 27. There are 27 cubic feet in each yd³. 27 ft³ in 1 yd³ - 3' x 3' x 3'.
2. How many wheelbarrow loads are there in a cubic yard?
Typically, it will take nine loads in a three ft³ wheelbarrow to carry one yd³.
3. How much area does one cubic yard cover?
At a depth of three inches, one cubic yard covers approximately 100 square feet, two inches approximately 150 square feet at a one inch depth approximately 300 ft².
